With the increasing mandates for college- and career-readiness, edTPA™ implementation, and now the growing expectation that Board certification should be the norm for teachers, teacher induction and professional learning programs must assess an array of strategies to effectively support teachers and the profession. ATLAS, a brand new digital resource from the National Board, offers relevant assistance.
ATLAS cases are made up of authentic classroom videos and written reflections of PK-12 teachers who successfully achieved the highest symbol of evidence based excellence in the profession: National Board Certification. Select cases are indexed to common frameworks including National Board, edTPA™, Common Core State Standards, C3, and NGSS, providing an aligned and coherent image of what the standards and frameworks look like in the classrooms of National Board Certified Teachers across most subjects, grades and settings.
I am delighted to invite you to join me for a special preview ofATLAS at National University Sanford Center, La Jolla, CA 92037 on August 5,10 am-3:00 pm.
